Our story

Mill Creek Bagel Company was born from a deep-rooted connection to a charming midwestern town, nestled beside the serene waters of Mill Creek. Our founders grew up just a stone’s throw from this picturesque tributary, where the creek’s shallow, sandy bed and warm waters offered a soft, welcoming touch. Many summers were spent exploring the creek’s rocky shores, fostering a sense of wonder and joy. It is this same sense of wonder that inspired the founding of Mill Creek Bagel Company in 2023, bringing a taste of nostalgia and craftsmanship to every bagel we bake.

Since our beginning, we’ve been honored to share our passion for bagels through local farmers markets and neighborhood pop-ups in Elgin, connecting with our community and growing a dedicated following. Now, we’re excited to take the next step—opening our first storefront location. We look forward to welcoming you in and continuing to serve handcrafted bagels made with care and tradition.
